The unchanging line-up

In the mid-1950s this line-up remained unchanged for close on 20 matches. Perhaps someone with a long memory can tell us the reasons why. Was it that Third Division (North) Wrexham had only 11 fit players? Or was it the perfect squad? Because I cannot remember the exact year, some research could reveal the season of 'no change for so long'. I wonder the League position Wrexham finished in that season? Who can remember the faces of the eleven players (cartoons invited!) Where are they now?
