Tickets and bricks
A new column highlighting the highs and lows of the Wrexham FC public relations machine:
Lots of issues to discuss this time. First of all, the Mold Road noticeboard - you know: WREXHAM V INTER MILAN Sat 12 FEB 2000 KO 8.00. Well, our beloved Coming Shortly publicity board is coming in for some stick. Mr SP.Garratt from Connahs Quay wrote to us and declared:
The board displaying the next game on the floodlights looks like it could do with auctioning off. It looks a disgrace next to the new stand.
Is this an issue? Does anyone else feel strongly about this issue? Any response from the club (no, didnt think so). Second, those Middlesborough ticket arrangements. Why the strange Saturday morning sales window for voucher-holders? Why were vouchers handed out at one match and one match only? Why not hand them out at random games throughout the season? And, why the conflicting noises about how many tickets our opponents had sold in the run-up to the game? Bizarre. Third, those damned bricks. Some fans still cant see their brick in the wall - to quote Pink Floyd. And the bricks were paid for - and the cheques cashed - in the summer. Whats going on? Fourth, the toilet facilities in the Pryce Griffiths Stand. Apparenty, one toilet entrance doesnt have a LADIES or GENTLEMEN sign next to it - and its causing all kinds of confusion (not surprisingly). Some fans are in fact ending up in the wrong set of loos! Can anything be done to sort this problem out? And on the subject of toilets one Red Passion correspondent has told us that passers-by can actually see into the Yale Stand Ladies loos. Not a nice situation.
