The World According To

Robert GRESFORD Davies
With recent wins away at Oxford and Cambridge I have a hunch that our team do well in intellectual climates. It may be that poor home form, attributed last season to the new stand being erected and this season yet to be decided, may be because Wrexham is only a young and aspiring university town. I have noticed over the years that Wrexham do well against clever teams and certainly in the cup have outclassed some Premiership giants. The form displayed against Middlesbrough this season has not been seen before or since. The better the opposition the better they play. It was a good performance against Preston with a few hair-breadth escapes, but the University of Central Lancashire is not exactly Oxbridge - so we could not expect too much! RP
