Wrexham FC 125th Gala Reunion 1999
The video opens with the front of St Davids Park Hotel, the venue for the Gala. It then goes on to show past and present Wrexham players who have played at least 50 games for Wrexham; these men span decades of football from Eddie Tunning, who started playing in the late-'30's to the present players including Phil Hardy and Mark McGregor (in the pink shirt, which I slated a couple of issues back, but I have now changed my mind about it - it's quite nice). Then there's Joey with a pint, Dai Davies with a pint, Mickey Thomas with a pint. In almost every shot you have Les Evans weaving in and out, snapping away happily. Pryce Griffiths officially welcomes everyone and gives a speech. In these few minutes I did find it hard to stay awake; he's got the type of voice that can send you into an early nap (no offence, Mr Griffiths). Grace is said by the Wrexham FC Chaplain Paul Brown - and then it's Flynn's turn to talk.
