Hot off the press ... Freekick

A new magazine was launched in August - in association with the National Federation of Football Supporters' Clubs. It's called Freekick; the launch issue was free, but £2.50 is the official cover price. It's glossy, thick and 82 pages long. It's subtitle - 'No Fans - No Football' - is both self-evident and seriously profound. It's well put together, orientated towards international and top-flight football - but Issue 1 does include one significant paragraph on Wrexham. Faulconbridge is deemed the 'player to watch' this season and mention is made of the personal abuse suffered by BF during last season. The magazine says: 'He will need a better start this term'. They're right.
