What's going on?
Up and moving upwards
Despite the division getting tougher every season, this year's promoted teams are doing quite well, considering.
ROTHERHAM: Riding high in 4th position, to everybody's amazement, the Millers have almost got as many points, already, as they did the last time they were in this division. Despite the sale of Fortune-West to Cardiff, Robins and Warne have been banging them in upfront. At the back there is room for improvement.
NORTHAMPTON: Northampton are only just outside the play-off places at present, and actually occupied one of them earlier in the season. They have a reliable keeper in Welch and Hodge has looked a good buy, but it is the front two of Forrester and Howard that have been causing problems.
PETERBOROUGH: Their home form has seen them move to 12th place in the table almost unnoticed. Lee has returned from injury and Clarke seems to have found his scoring touch again. Fry's side's simple yet effective style of play only usually sees them win, or lose, by the odd goal.
SWANSEA: Of the four promoted teams, it is inevitably the Champions who are really struggling. Their defence is notably capable, with Bound playing really well and Freestone performing as well, if not better, at the higher level of Division 2. Upfront, Savarese could make the difference, as Watkin, no matter how well he's playing, is not a goalscoring forward.
