Heaven is a Racecourse Saturday

No.15 - GARETH ROBERTS (OVERTON)

Get up? Wake up at about 8am and get up at 9, still in a half trance as I approach the bathroom.

Then? Get changed and see what's on TV. Then have breakfast. If I feel like it I walk the dog or I kill hundreds of innocent civilians on my computer, playing GTA (top game).

Lunchtime? I catch the bus into town and then roam the streets of Wrexham for something to eat - usually a bakery shop, or risk a burger at Burger King.

Pre-match? I sell Red Passion. There is no better way to spend a couple of hours standing in sub-zero temperatures with howling gales. Seriously though, you get to meet a lot of people, which has its good points and bad.

Pre-match inside Racecourse? I stand on the Kop. I start to get nervous, wonder if I can see anyone I know, and read the programme.

1st half? Surprisingly, I'm quiet during the game, usually thinking how long it will be before they score, chewing a piece of gum and glancing at the Wrexham bench from time to time.

Half-time? I'm either happy, sad or in the middle. I read the rest of the programme; I usually get a Cornish Pasty as well.

Second half? Same as first but usually more tense in the last ten minutes.

Immediate post-match? After the emotions set in, I meet up with someone I know and we go to a pub.

Teatime? Have something to eat and phone round friends discussing the day's events.

Evening? I either go out to my local social club to play snooker or go on my computer and kill even more pedestrians or take Wrexham to Premiership glory.

All contributions to the PERFECT DAY slot are very welcome.
