E is for Excitement. The Racecourse has seen its share over the years in FA Cup clashes with the big battalions. Who will ever forget our win over Arsenal? European tussles 20 years ago rarely lacked excitement. I can still hear the roar last season when we secured victory over Middlesbrough. The comeback at Luton recently from 3-0 down, to win 4-3, was an exciting finish. The fans thrive on excitement. E is also for Exit - and Rotherham made sure of that in this year's FA Cup first round. As I walked away, thinking there is nothing to look forward to now, I also remembered that our cup exploits (another E!) have sometimes cost us a good league position. My thoughts were really brought down to earth when I overheard one fan say to another: 'Perhaps we're in for a good relegation battle this season'. More chance of excitement…
