Heaven is a Racecourse Saturday

Heaven is a Racecourse Saturday

No.16 - RICHARD OWEN (WREXHAM)

Get up? When I feel like it.

Then? Watch a bit of Footie Focus.

Lunchtime? Fry-up.

Pre-match? Pint (or two) at Wetherspoons (for the pre-match walk) or The Turf (for intense discussion).

Pre-match inside Racecourse? Scan the latest Red Passion of course.

1st half? Wrexham play towards the Marstons Stand (or Bob the Builder's Stand or whatever it's called nowadays). Fast start with plenty of pressure resulting in a goal mid-way through the first half. Scoring too soon makes for an anxious match.

Half-time? Hope to be winning!

Second half? Kicking towards the Kop. Move up a gear, keep controlling the game. Oh and win of course.

Immediate post-match? Back to The Turf/nearest pub for post-mortem.

Teatime? Either carry on drinking into the evening via Wetherspoons (for a cheap pint), The Edgerton (for nostalgia), The Lion (to chill out), The Nags (to see who's there around 8), back up to Milliners (for a Caffreys), then onto Scruffys (to wind down) - or head back for a bite to eat.

Evening? More drink, but perhaps with a change of clothes and the now legendary(?) High Street crawl. Sadly the evening grinds to a desperate halt at the prospect of going to Bonkers or, worse, Scotts. Desperately try to persuade all and sundry to go to Central Station. The night then hinges on the queue...

All contributions to the PERFECT DAY slot are very welcome.
