......on the road......

No.21 - Rotherham

- Journey there? A two-and-a-half hour journey on the coach with the coach crashing into a Ford Fiesta - breaking its wing-mirror - while entering a roundabout in Rotherham.
- The town? The town was too far away so we decided walk to the nearest kebab house to the ground just over the road. The food from here was very nice and at reasonable prices.
- Ground? If it was not for the small One To One stand, and the addition of seats onto the old terraces, Millmoor would look like something out of the '60s. The away supporters were allocated a small stand behind the goal which was previously a terrace.
- Admission price? £12/£8 concessions
- The game? 2-0 to Rotherham. Rotherham’s usual physical approach gave them the lead; then they sat back, cancelling out Wrexham, and counter-attacked to score their second. Wrexham were denied an obvious penalty when Wilsterman brought down Faulconbridge in the area.
- Our fans? Not very many, not very loud and not very happy.
- Their fans? Nearly 4,500 of them ‘packed’ into Millmoor - quite loud on the terracing.
- Post-match goings on? A walk back to the coach after looking for a lost programme.
- Journey back? A bit quicker than the journey there with no traffic to cope with - arriving back in Wrexham for about 11.45.
