......on the road......

No.25 - Port Vale

- Journey there? A one-hour trip on a 35-seater
coach. We left at 5.30pm.
- The town? We found the local chippy down a side
street - about the size of a shoebox - and all got something to eat.
- Ground? All-seater with the main stand currently
being developed - impressive with two tiers of executive boxes. The away
fans are allocated a large area of seats behind the goal.
- Admission? £15/£10/£8.
- The game? We finally played two wingers. Gibson
put us ahead with a left-footed strike. I thought Blackwood was Wrexham's
MOM. It finished 1-1.
- Our fans? 400 made the short journey but the
large stand didn't create a brilliant atmosphere…although everyone joined
in with the '1-0 TO THE SHEEP********!' chant.
- Their fans? Not many considering they're playing
well - 13 games unbeaten and also in the LDV final.
- Post-match goings-on? We all got back on the
coach and left soon after the match ended.
