Well, I hope everyone's having a great summer - because I am.
I did a bungee jump for charity the other day at OT - off the giant new stand! I helped to raise a lot of money for a cancer charity and it was a great experience. But to be honest I was scared stiff.
I took part in Radio 5's Any Sporting Questions when it was held in Wrexham. Phil Neal and Kieron Cunningham were two of the other guests, while John Inverdale was the host. It was a great night and I cracked a few gags, mostly at my own expense.
And what else? I appeared on Soccer AM with Kirsty Gallagher and signed up for the Soccer Masters, where I'll be playing for Everton. So many ex-clubs to choose from!
I'm not over-chuffed about the switch to 'Dragons' but I suppose I'll have to live with it. A new nickname isn't going to make Wrexham win more games. In this respect I'm a bit of a traditionalist.
As to the released players, well! Owen - a big surprise. Everyone's disappointed but maybe he had lost a bit of his edge. Hardy - I personally think three minutes was too long! No, only joking. Phil was a great servant to Wrexham and I'm glad he got fixed up at Port Vale. Williams - another surprise. But again it's good that he's got a new club as well.
Dearden did OK at the Racecourse, but they're obviously having a look at Ince. Ridler was a nice lad but I never saw that French guy in action.
And I'm saving the best till last! Have you seen that photo on the front cover of this edition of Red Passion? Me, Rod and George. What can I say? I'm flattered. Full stop.
See you soon
