The A-Z of Life - R is for Racecourse, Robins, Red, Relegation and Roar

R is a letter closely associated with Wrexham. The way 'Wrexham' is pronounced, it can actually do without the 'W'. When Gareth M.Davies and Peter Jones compiled the Wrexham encyclopaedia, 'From Adams to Youds', they had no hesitation in combining the two 'Rs' - Racecourse Robins. There's an affection in this partnership that can never be reproduced when Dragons enter.

The Red shirt is also associated with Wrexham and, traditionally, white shorts with a red stripe. But, none of the R's are complete without the Racecourse Roar. Who would have thought that after Relegation (another R), the Roar would be heard again? Thankfully, Hector Sam's winning goal against Oxford was greeted with the first massive Roar of the season.
