"I think it was Joey who christened the Welsh team Ragass Rovers. It sums us up perfectly. I remember we used to have socks that were so tight you did well to actually get them on your feet. If you had strapping on for anything, you just couldn’t get them on at all. At least the socks have been changed. But the collars on the jerseys are so wide that I reckon if the wind blew we’d take off! Still, I think that some good comes out of it all. We look at the Scottish kids, all smartly turned out, and it winds us up even more for the match ahead. Good kit doesn't make good footballers.
