"I think it was Joey who christened the Welsh team Ragass Rovers. It sums us up perfectly. I remember we used to have socks that were so tight you did well to actually get them on your feet. If you had strapping on for anything, you just couldnt get them on at all. At least the socks have been changed. But the collars on the jerseys are so wide that I reckon if the wind blew wed take off! Still, I think that some good comes out of it all. We look at the Scottish kids, all smartly turned out, and it winds us up even more for the match ahead. Good kit doesn't make good footballers. I heard about Mickey Thomas's missing boots while we were training. He came up and told me:'These boots are killing me. I cant find my own pair they went missing at Chelsea last week. Thats typical of Mickey, you just get used to it.."
