'I was in the Turf before the Lincoln game waiting for a couple of mates and a few Lincoln fans were sitting a few feet away. I was minding my own business really for a while but then a few blokes walked in with ties on and suits and it turned out it was the Lincoln City board! They had a bit of an impromptu meeting and I found out that the chairman, John Reames, was a fan of the club from this bloke who I got chatting with next to me. He also said that he played with Dixie McNeil in Lincoln's reserve team in the early-'70s, which drew great admiration from me of course!' (Stephen Matthias).
