| This is my new personal Football Enjoyment Index (FEI). The FEI measures my enjoyment of football at this stage in time, on a 1-100 index, increasing and decreasing according to events on and off the pitch at the Racecourse. I started at 50. If I reach 100, I am officially in football Nirvana. If I reach 1, I'll be willing to swap places with a Chester City fan. | 48 | |
| Diamonds home 3-0 What a victory! A complete thrashing of a team nigh on certain to be promoted, getting us back on course for the play-offs after the Exeter fiasco. |
+3 | 51 |
| Shrews home 3-3 Oh well...adding a point because scoring three goals is always good, just annoying to concede a trio to our near neighbours. |
+1 | 52 |
| Hartlepool home 2-0 Brilliant! An emphatic victory against a team who until a few games ago looked like they'd have the Championship won by Easter. Stupidly, I turned down the offer of a lift back for this one with my mate from uni...although given the effect I seem to have on the team when I turn up, maybe it's just as well I did! |
+3 | 55 |
| Boston away 3-3 Great result, to stretch it to six games unbeaten, and make even a pessimist like me start to think that automatic promotion maybe ISN'T impossible. |
+2 | 57 |
| Hull away 2-1 Fantastic result, great to see Morrell get a couple of goals and edge ever nearer to Psycho's post-war record of 32 in the league. |
+1 | 58 |
| Shrewsbury
away 2-1 +2 for third place at last! +2 for FINALLY breaking the jinx (the first time I've seen the Red Dragons win in over six months!) And +1 for the wonderful mazy run by Dennis Lawrence, who was likened to Ronaldo on stilts after that fantastic bit of skill. |
+5 | 63 |
| Paul Whitfield Great to see him make the Wales Under-21 team again, and fantastic to see him keep a clean sheet. Is Euro 2004 out of his grasp? Even if that's too soon to hope for, surely he'll be in the squad for the 2006 World Cup! |
+1 | 64 |
| Dennis Lawrence Ever since I moaned about him a few issues back, 'Tall Man' has been amazing in defence. He seems to have improved his concentration, and doesn't make nearly as many costly mistakes anymore, and his general performances are getting to be some of the most impressive I can remember from a Wrexham centre-back since I've been supporting the club. |
+2 | 66 |
| Andy Dibble Admittedly, Dibs isn't one of the worst keepers I've seen playing for Wrexham...but let's be honest, who could be?! While he's not at Ken Hughes, Mark Walton, or Mark Cartwright's level of incompetence, he makes far too many stupid mistakes for a keeper of his vast experience, and never looks comfortable coming for crosses. If I was DS, I'd thank him for his services but let him go in the summer (assuming I'm right in thinking his contract's up) and play Whitfield as first choice next year. |

| The end of Red Passion While I agree with Pete Davies' reasoning, the end of the fanzine has made me realise just how much I've enjoyed reading, and writing for it, over the past 45 issues. Huge thanks to Pete, Dean Domerecki and all the other contributors for all the hard work they've put into it. |

On that note, we end the FEI for now, and the final total so far is... |
