Home? Southsea, Wrexham
When did you first watch Wrexham?
It wasn't that many years ago and to be honest it wasn't exactly to watch Wrexham, but I
soon came to my senses - it was 18 January 1994, against Man Utd in a friendly match
(mainly consisting of Man Utd reserves and David Beckham was on the subs bench).
How often do you get to games?
I attend all home matches including reserve matches, but, I've only just started to go to
away matches.
Where do you stand/sit? I have
a season ticket for the Kop and stand at the back in the middle.
Favourite current player?
Deryn Brace - he gives it his all (when he does play) and is a really nice lad. He
is also quite sexy.
Favourite ex-player? Why?
Bryan Hughes - because he's a class professional player.
Best match attended? When
Wrexham played West Ham at the Racecourse in 1997 - the pitch was covered in snow, but,
Wrexham played excellent and the atmosphere was brilliant.
Favourite Wrexham goal? Isle
of Man 1998 - Ian Rush - against Oldham Athletic, the goal that never was.
Unfortunately it was disallowed because he was apparently offside. It was a great
goal even though it didn't count. (I saw Ian Rush's first goal for Wrexham.)
Best Wrexham memory? I haven't
got a favourite match memory, but I will never forget the Isle of Man Tournament 1998 - it
was the best holiday of my life - so far.
Any message to Pryce Griffiths?
No disrespect Mr Griffiths, but GET YOUR MONEY OUT!
Which players in the current
first-team squad would you get rid of? Phil Hardy - to give Deryn a chance.
Also Ian Rush - he should concentrate more on coaching and not trying to make his football
playing career go further.
Which player in the current Wrexham
squad would you tip for greatness? Stephen Thomas - he shows great commitment when
playing for the reserves and played oustandingly well against Caernarfon Town at the
Racecourse in the FAW Premier Cup on November 17 1998 (he scored his first goal for the
first team, which then lead to Wrexham winning the match 1-0.)
Which player who doesn't play for
Wrexham would you most like to see in a red shirt (one realistic suggestion and one
fantasy suggestion allowed)? Realistic: Mark Hughes - why not, we've got Ian
Rush. Fantasy: Me. Ha! Ha!
Who do you think is inside Rockin'
Robin? There was a rumour of Les Evans, but it couldn't be because Rockin' Robin
doesn't wear a flat cap and doesn't carry a camera around with him everywhere he goes.
What is your realistic ambition for
the club? For Wrexham to maybe get promoted to Division One next season, assuming
we don't get relegated this season.
How should Wrexham go about trying to
attract bigger attendances? Well they brought Ian Rush to Wrexham, so why not try
and bring some other big name players at the end of their careers to join the Red Army for
a season or two?
Rush: good buy/bad buy? Good
for publicity, not so good for goals. Don't get me wrong, he was good in his time,
but he's had more than his 15 minutes of fame and should concentrate on coaching now.
The new stand: will it appear?
Yes, eventually.
What position do you predict that
Wrexham will finish in Division Two this season? Well last August I hoped for
somewhere between 1st and 6th, now I'd be happy if we finished out of harms way around
16th.
