Shoppin’ for rockin’

If you are an ardent admirer of  the one and only Rockin’ Robin, I’m afraid you will find the merchandise in this catalogue a bit of a disappointment.  Try as you might, there is just not much stuff available – but what is available is no doubt worth buying.    You can display your affection for Rockin’ with a woolly hat and scarf set (which I’ve mentioned in an earlier review), and for the warmer weather there is a very cheap baseball-style cap.  In the ‘Objects of Desire’ section, it’s nice to see a bit more variety on offer.

As holiday time approaches, you could do worse than buying the bargain beach at only £2.50 – our hero does look a bit startled, but then that’s all part of his charm.  There is also the standard mug and key-ring available.  But what I particularly like, is the window mascot – how’s that for a bird in action!  For the younger fans among us, there is a rather snazzy Rockin’ Robin T-shirt – unfortunately this only goes up to age 8 – are the club being ageist in their view of Rockin’ fans?   It may seem trivial, but to many of us that bird can be the highlight of the game, with his cheeky antics and sexy beak.  I, for one, say there should be more stuff available for folks like me.  You may think it a trivial topic, but there’s more than just the players that make up WFC!  Long live Rockin’ Robin…
