I: Well Neil its been a heck of a week for you. How did
it all start?
N: Erm, well you know last Saturday, Carlisle away, you know, I was included in the
squad and scored two goals. Then tonight can't ask for anything else I get the first goal
on me home debut. So its been a good week to say the least!
I: And your a local lad, so that made it feel special?
N: Yeah I'm a local lad and its always nice to score in front of the home fans. It
was good, yeah I enjoyed it.
I: So how did it start? When did you know you were in the
squad for the Carlisle game?
N: Erm, well there had been the newspaper coverage all week, but I really knew
2.45. The manager told me I'm in and thats it.
I: Butterflies was it then?
N: Erm, yeah it was more so tonight. Making a home debut rather than Carlisle away.
But yeah I just got on with it.
I: And tonights game. It was a bit of a battle in the
second half. But talk us through your goal first of all.
N: Erm, yeah it was a bit of work by Dean Spink and its just broken to me really,
couldn't miss it from the six yard box.
I: And then they threw everything at you second half.
N: Er, yeah they are a difficult side. Passed it round a lot. Young lads so they
were going at it right to the end. It was just good to get three points.
