| Wrexham look to build on a four game unbeaten run
that has seen us climb off the bottom of the table but face a difficult
trip to a Peterborough side that has the best home record in
the league. Darren Ferguson's side have won
ten out of their fifteen games at London Road in the league this season
and last month thrashed Accrington 8-2.
This emphatic scoreline came on the back of a 1-0
reverse against Macclesfield and this result prevented Peterborough from
recording five straight wins.
The Macclesfield win was followed up with another
solid display when they defeated promotion rivals Rotherham 3-1 at home and last
week they returned home from in form Rochdale with a 2-0 win.
The recent results has left Peterborough in fourth
position with fifty-two points from twenty-eight games and the Posh are
also the leading goal scorers with fifty-five so far, which is almost 2
goals per game on average.
Peterborough defeated us in the First round of the FA
Cup this season, which proved to be Brian Carey's last game in charge, and the Posh
reached round four of the competition before going out at West Brom.
Aaron McLean is top scorer for Peterborough and has
found the back of the net an astonishing twenty-five times so far this
season and five of these has come in the last three league games.
McLean arrived at London Road at the beginning of
January in a £150,000 move from Grays Athletic after spending a couple
of months on loan prior to his move and is so far averaging a goal every
other game for Peterborough.
Peterborough manager
Darren Ferguson and his assistant, Kevin Russell, do not need any
introductions to Wrexham fans and they have so far won the two games
between the sides since they took over at London Road just over twelve
months a go.
Recent Encounters:
Although this is the first league meeting between the
two sides this season, the teams have met in the FA Cup First Round with

league match last season ending up in the favour of the Posh with a 3-0
scoreline.
Our last win over Peterborough was back in December
2003 by two unanswered goals at the Racecourse and you have to go back
