Reds' fans poll rejects Wrexham boss' offer
10 April 2008
AN
ONLINE poll by Wrexham Supporters Trust has shown a huge 96.2 per cent of fans
would not accept club co-owner Geoff Moss' offer made at the beginning of the
week.
Mr Moss offered to contribute the
same amount again if the supporters trust donated its £300,000 to the club.
He also offered the trust representation on the directors' board in exchange for
the money, in the form of trust president Arfon Griffiths.
The trust has said it would only be willing to hand over the money in return for
shares in Wrexham FC.
Trust member Lindsay Jones, speaking to the Evening Leader earlier this week,
pointed out the organisation had already donated £105,000.
On Monday Mr Moss said he would be investing more of his time in the club after
selling luxury travel firm Elegant Resorts to Thomas Cook for an undisclosed
sum.
