Little hails Wrexham's fighting spirit

WREXHAM
boss Brian Little paid tribute to his side’s fighting spirit as they continue to
battle against relegation.
The Dragons are still rooted to the foot of the Football League despite picking
up six points from a possible nine after rivals Mansfield and Macclesfield both
won, while Notts County drew.
But despite the fact that Wrexham could have climbed off the bottom after a 2-1
win over Bury had results gone their way, Little was unconcerned and remained in
upbeat mood.
“A lot of people have already written us off, but I get quite a bit of feedback
from people across the country and a lot of people from outside the area have
been impressed with how we are still in there,” said the Racecourse boss.
“We were bottom of the table when I came in and yes, we are still bottom now,
but we are still in with a chance.
“In this situation a lot of times teams at the very bottom can tail off and get
left behind, and then they have far too much to do save themselves.
“But we are still in there with a chance and that is because we keep picking up
the points and results. We are still working hard, and if we can continue to
pick up points then you never know the teams who people might think are safe
might also get dragged into this.
“I am just trying to stay positive and keep everyone here in positive mindset
and make sure we can continue to do the things we are doing.”
Little was forced into two changes during Saturday’s 2-1 home win over Bury
after Neil Taylor was injured and Carl Tremarco was also forced off.
At the moment Little is unsure whether either would be back for Saturday’s trip
to Brentford.
“The next 48 hours will be crucial for both them and we won’t know anymore until
Wednesday really,” said the Dragons boss.
